The Comms Vision conference attracts senior executives from leading channel companies enabling them to come together and share knowledge on topics related to the future success of their businesses. The event was first launched last year and the client was so impressed with the results, shortly after they confirmed Revelation as conference production company for the 2007 event.

Solution

For the second year running the conference was held at Gleneagles, Scotland and with Revelation again appointed as conference production, the team had the experience of both the venue and of the brand to help make this year an even bigger success.

As part of their role, the Revelation team were responsible for providing the AV and on-site technical support in each of the rooms used during the event. They were also required to manage the filming that was taking place throughout the event to ensure that the important parts of the occasion were captured.

In the main conference room the team were required to design and build the conference stage and set, as well as the design and operation of the lighting and the sound systems. Revelation's on-site technicians were responsible for these elements whilst also ensuring the seamless running of the presentations. Gobos were created by Revelation pre-event and presented as part of the stage design, along with digital signage that was designed and displayed throughout the venue.

For each of the break out rooms, Revelation provided a high spec PC that allowed delegates and sponsors to be able to access a BPL website that enabled them to view and book meetings with each other to maximise the networking and business opportunities that arose.

The gala dinner was held in the ballroom for which the team provided lighting and managed the after dinner entertainment, comedian John Culshaw. Then for the finale; a lone piper walked up the centre of the room and onto the stage in front of the curtains and then the curtains opened to reveal an entire 16-piece pipe band.

Results

BPL were extremely happy with the outcome of the conference and considered it a huge success.

I want to pass on our thanks for a wonderful effort at Gleneagles last week. The entire team appreciated the effort the crew put into the event and in particular the overall management over the three days.'
