aeo Conference 2007

Following the huge success of previous aeo conferences and the tremendously positive feedback from all parties involved over the years, Revelation event management were appointed once again, to be the event management and production house for the aeo's annual conference, making this Revelations 5th consecutive year in the role.

Revelation was involved in appointing the chosen venue which this year was Manchester Central (previously GMEX) and our Managing Director Matt Sims was a part of the conference working group responsible for planning the content and the theme of the event which, this year, was set to raise the bar significantly.

The title of the 2007 conference wasThe Attention Seekers'. The aim; to address the issues surrounding the changing focus of the media sector which has meant that events are now beginning to get the attention they deserve. The conference will deal with how exhibitions really compare with other routes to market, how to attract company's precious marketing budget and among other topics, how we can determine our successes or failures of exploiting new communities of interest.

In our capacity as event management and production company, the team were responsible for the numerous suppliers, contractors, sponsors and stakeholders contributing to the conference. We managed all aspects of the event including the look, feel and experience that the audience were a part of.

Pre conference, Revelation oversaw the delegate registration and managed the delegate information, liaised with and managed all the speakers both before the event and onsite, whilst also managing their presentations and facilitating any other requirements. Online speaker packs were also provided to support all presenters with the necessary details and material.

The technical production of the conference included managing the in-house technical team at Manchester Central, designing stage and set, lighting design and interpreting the brand into a live experience.

The evening dinner and entertainment were sponsored and managed by Revelation and they went down a storm. The audience were treated to the Kombat Breakers (from Britains got Talent) and the comedian Jason Mansford.
