Revelation Produce World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards

Revelation recently provided full production for the World's 50 Best Restaurants held at the Science Museum, London. The evening was a great success with El Bulli, Spain picking up the nights top accolade. The event attracts a large amount of media coverage and press attention and drew some very prominent guests, with representatives from all over the world attending the ceremony to celebrate the achievements of those that make the list.

The World's 50 Best Restaurants started in 2002 as an annual list printed in Restaurant Magazine published by William Reed Publishing. Now in its sixth year it has established itself as one of the most prestigious restaurant award ceremonies for the trade and is both an influential and well recognized international event. As William Reed Publishing's event partner, Revelation event management were, for the second year, appointed as the official production company for the awards ceremony and relished the opportunity to go one better than last year.

The Making the Modern World area which showcases a lot of exhibits was the venue for the reception. Guests were able to have refreshments, mingle with other guests and look around the museum displays. The Revelation team created an exciting ambience in the room by illuminating the huge plane on the ceiling of the museum as a focal point of the room.

The awards themselves were held in the IMAX theatre where Revelation were creatively responsible for the stage, set, sound and lighting. The stage design reflected all the corporate branding of the event, showcased all the sponsors of the list. Revelation also managed the media content and produced the award stings that were shown on the IMAX screen which due to its size required Revelation to do some clever adaptation to their usual methods and sizing of projection to make them compatible with the large IMAX screen.
