Well unlike Wimbledon, rain didn’t manage to stop play for the Revelation team when we took a trip to Royal Ascot for a day out at the races. We all had a cracking day and although the sausages on the bbq did get a bit damp, we were lucky enough to spot the queen going past in her carriage! Then earlier this month, we hosted a Revelation hospitality day at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club where we had a champagne reception, an Argentinean bbq, then the Polo match and even a little bit of sunshine!

A great new event partner - HMC Interactive
We want to rave about a new event partner…HMC Interactive. We had the pleasure of working with HMC at the South West England Creative Economy Summit where HMC provided Magic Markers, based on the event branding. The resulting display allowed conference participates to interact with the brand on a playful and emotional level.
HMC Interactive is an award winning multimedia production company based in the south west who create bespoke digital interactive products for a wide range of industries. They design their products to give users a high impact physical or virtual experience that will entertain them and inspire them as well as promote the message that the clients intends. They have their products in places that you may already have seen like the Science Museum and at Cadbury World (chocolate rain) and they have even produced a butterfly forest where a 3d butterfly will land in your palm. Revelation is very much looking forward to working with HMC on our clients future events; imagination really is the only limit.

South West England Creative Economy Summit 2007
Background
The creative industries make up a key part of the economy of the South West region whilst also contributing to the wealth and vitality of the country. The South West Regional Development Agency, along with the Creative Economy Partnership recognise the opportunities and challenges that creative industry businesses and organisations face and so organised the Creative Economy Summit to provide an opportunity to discuss these issues. The conference aimed to build on what has been achieved in the region already, to implement development and promotion and to inspire commitment and collaborative action amongst stakeholders.
|
Solution
Revelation have worked with the South West RDA for a number of years as their event management and production company and it was in this capacity that they were appointed for the Creative Economy Summit. The summit was held at the Holland House Hotel, Bristol.
Revelation managed the delegate registration process, the database management and delegate badging not only for the summit but for the pre event reception which was organised for the evening before the summit at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol. The guests at the reception were able to enjoy an evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of Wildlife filming in Bristol and also a chance to network with others.
At the summit, Revelation were responsible for designing the stage and set making sure that all the branding for the event was interpreted and displayed effectively. The onsite technical team provided lighting and sound solutions for the main conference room and supplied multimedia throughout the venue including the breakout rooms. Creative stings and gobos were produced by Revelation as well as PowerPoint templates for all the speakers to visually reinforce the branding of the event .
Pre event, Revelation provided all presenters with online speaker packs, then at the event the team managed all speakers and their presentations, as well as facilitating any other requirements that they had.
Delegates were entertained during the day with interactive multimedia displays, greeted by fire breathers and stilt walkers as well as being provided with the latest in conference networking devices, Spot Me. These allowed delegates to view the summit agenda as well as enabling them to search for people that they wished to network with, exchange business card electronically, vote in session polls and direct questions to the chair. It also allows the South West RDA to identify participation in the summit, track attendance and gain valuable feedback from delegates.

Results
The South West RDA were extremely happy with the results of the event and on an internal evaluation form they rated Revelation as 100% on every service that they provided. They felt that “the total event management and experience brought to this project was exceptional”.
The client said “I just wanted to thank the team who worked on our events; they definitely would not have happened or have been half as successful if it wasn’t for all of their hard work.”

Revelation - Specialists in the Middle East The Revelation brand is synonymous with excellence and truly understanding our client’s requirements and it is because of this reputation that Revelation event management is rapidly gaining international recognition. With an enviable portfolio of British clients and contracts across the UK and Europe, we’re are now delivering loads of events in the Far & Middle East and expanding into the United Arab Emirates.
We started our Middle East initiative as production management company and consultant to dmg World Media at Gastech 2006, one of the biggest and most respected gas conferences in the world with 6,500 delegates. The event was a huge success which we later followed at the Arab Health Congress in Dubai, acting for Herman Miller as official stand build partner.
The experiences that Revelation have had in the Middle East so far has helped us understand the logistics and the constraints of putting on such events and has become second nature to us now. We’ve enjoyed understanding and embracing the cultural differences between Europe and the Middle East and it’s been great to see that our style compliments them. Experience so far has meant that the company’s directors have made a number of trips to the United Arab Emirates in recent months, forging relationships and liaising with numerous companies. As standard, Revelation work with the best in the business back in the UK, so it is equally as important that we only work with the best in the United Arab Emirates. As MD Matt Sims says “If you want to be the best, you have to work with the best.” The visits to the UAE have resulted in new contracts being agreed for the coming year, which means that we have some very exciting and high profile projects coming up, including:
The 1st World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi in January is a major initiative to present global solutions to the demand for alternative and renewable energy where Revelation will be the production company. It is assured to be a massive event, with the world’s leading innovators and companies in attendance. Plus in November 2008 we are producing ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference), a premier event in the Middle East serving the international gas and oil industry.
If you are planning an international event or exhibition you will need the experts, Revelation event management. Catherine or Matt will be delighted to help further. |
