A word from the editor

So Easter has been and gone – where does the time go? Since the last newsletter Revelation has had some new additions to the team; firstly we would like to welcome Jules Pascoe as our newest Event Coordinator. We also had a much smaller addition to the Revelation family when Katie had a little baby boy, Revelations 5th baby, so congratulations to her and Nick.

But it doesn’t stop there, Zak then won third place in the Mr Strongman competition and we had Revelation’s 3rd wedding with Ed and Marieke tying the knot and of course the traditional stag do involving a multicoloured wig, high vis jackets and a lot of duct tape – say no more….AND if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, Revelation turned 8 yrs old! All of this deserved a big old party so the team all went for a bite to eat and then out on the town…well, your only 8 once!!

Our hearts go out to our project managers who ended up virtually living at the NEC this quarter…well done boys, I’m sure that they were all glad to get back to some home comforts and lots of Easter Eggs!

We have also just used The Mind Gym (www.mindgym.co.uk) for a creative day exploring ‘Generating Creative Sparks’ and ‘Hare Brain Tortoise Mind’; see we do practice what we preach and it was totally inspiring. So bear with us if our ideas are just a little out of the box.

Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy the spring time…

AEO   Whats Happening
Revelation event manage the aeo conference

Revelation have been confirmed to event manage and produce the annual aeo conference. This will be the 6th consecutive year that we have been appointed and so we are very excited to be doing it again.

We can’t really tell you too many details at the moment but we will keep you posted…watch this space.

 

   

Client project management system launched

With the new website come some really fantastic new features that are reinforcing Revelation as a leader when it comes to client service. One of these features is a project management system called the Revelation Client Area, a service that we are offering to all clients. Once set up on the area you will be able to go in and view the status of your event as well as important date milestones. You can upload files and post messages that will be stored in the systems history and also use the chat-room area.

The client area will open up lines of communication between all parties involved in organising the event and also store and archive all the information from an event, ultimately saving time and ensuring accountability. It will also make sure that deadlines are clearly defined and that to do’s are done!

Some of you may have already received an email with details of this on, please just keep this email you will need it to get access to your event project once it is created. Exhibition forms now online

Another great feature of the website is that now all AV & presentation equipment orders can be done online. It makes life really easy; it still gives you the full range of equipment and all the payment options but it’s just less hassle for you, just the way we like it!

You can reach the forms easily from the homepage of the website, which takes you through to www.revelation-events.co.uk/forms. Then just click on the logo of the event that is relevant to you and away you go!

There are product technical specifications, illustrations and dimensions available in our download section too, but if for any reason you can’t find what you are looking for then please call the sales team on 0117 9560777.

BT Rolatruc Exhibition Stand at IMHX

Background

BT Rolatruc, the UK subsidiary of BT Industries, was established in 1961 and is the leading UK name in providing material handling solutions such as warehouse and counterbalance trucks, rental, service and parts to its customers. BT Rolatruc (www.bt-forklifts.co.uk) have exhibited at IMHX for many years and this year were working with Bray Leino, the Devon based creative agency responsible for the BT Rolatruc account (www.brayleino.co.uk).

The show that they were exhibiting at was IMHX 2007 (Inspiring Materials Handling eXcellence) the UK's only comprehensive event in materials handling and logistics which boasts over 300 stands, with the BT Rolatruc exhibition stand being the largest there.

 

Solution

Revelation have been event partners with Bray Leino since 2006 working with them on numerous events; because of the relationship we share and as we were official AV contractor for IMHX and had experience of the exhibition our team was asked to provide production services for the BT Rolatruc exhibition stand.

BT Rolatruc were displaying a selection of their larger products and because of the scale of the stand special attention had to be paid to the logistics and to the health and safety issues that this would pose.

The Revelation team provided a pre production service which included the transfer of all stand plans into full technical design, liaison with Bray Leino on production elements and the design of bespoke lighting fixtures.

All the AV equipment was supplied by Revelation and we also were responsible for all the rigging and installation during the 5 day stand build. We also provided on-site support for the duration of the exhibition and at the end of the exhibition the on-site team was involved in the final break down of the stand.

Results

Both parties were very happy with the results of the exhibition stand and Revelations performance. Bray Leino stated that they achieved event objectives and when asked for one thing that Revelation did exceptionally well for them they replied; interpreting our requirements and taking responsibility to deliver what we needed.

Our first event at the New Wembley

Revelation are event managing and producing one of the first events to be held at the new Wembley Stadium! Our client BPL are organising Comms Solutions 2007 to be held in one of the conference suites at the new stadium on the 9th - 10th May 2007. We are also providing exhibitor support both pre event and on site and we are the official AV suppliers for the event. We are very excited about using the impressive new venue and of course we’ll get to see the hallowed turf! Plus we may even have a few football tricks up our sleeves for the entertainment!

Set visual production

As part of our event management and production service we can provide you with animated set visuals…click here to see what we mean.

Using professional software we can create a working model of your event, all to scale to the venue that you are hosting in. It benefits you because you will have a visual representation of what your event will look like: it enables you to see what colour schemes work the best, help with the design and display of your graphics, check the sizing’s of the furnishings and to decipher the size of audience that you can extend invitations to.
